INTERACTIVE LEARNING

We believe in exploration in the traditional sense, too. That's why we set aside a central site for two new Charlotte-Mecklenburg public schools within the community - an elementary school, Whitewater Academy, that opened in August 2008, and a middle school expected to open in August 2009.

Linked to the WhitewaterTM trail network, these schools will be within walking distance for WhitewaterTM residents. They will also be linked to the community in other ways, such as unique educational programming developed through our partnership with Audubon International. WhitewaterTM students will not only learn about nature and sustainability, but interact with it, both inside the classroom and out.
